SOLVED. Don't remember what web page we were trying to get into because it was happening on so many and was a certificate issue being out of date (computer date was wrong year). We did resolve .....issues. (1) Computer date was wrong on one computer (2005 instead of 2010). (2) Window Defender was conflicting with McAfee , so turned off Defender and re-ran Mcafee updates/scans and the "Fix" changed to "Protected" and this all appeared to resolve our problems. Now able to sign into sites/email and all seems ok. We seem to have fixed the issue. Case Closed. Thanks to all those who responded and tried to assist.
