Bonjour. Thunderbird version 128.4.3esr (64 bits) - Windows 11 Professionnel 24H2 Build 26100.2314 Depuis quelques temps, les icones "Cardbook" et "Raccourci Google Task" apparaissent en double dans la barre d'espaces. L'activation/désactivation des 2 extensions ne changent rien. Avez-vous une explication ? Cordialement

Could we get a tool to lock folders in Thunderbird ? Or a warning before moving folders with drag and drop.

Pretty much what https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/disable-draganddrop-tb-v2/ is probably doing - I'm just a bit worried to use addons that requires a permission: "Have full, unrestricted access to Thunderbird, and your computer"

I think this would be a welcome addition to many, especially those whom use IMAP like Gmail to use their mail account. If you accidentally drag a folder into another it can result a huge mess.

At the very least there should be an optional feature to get a warning message "Are you sure you wish to move this folder ..."

Thank you so much for this awesome software. I've used Firefox probably a few decades already .. and now Thunderbird too. Love it!

I'm looking for two features:

On minimizing window, thunderbird should minimize normally to taskbar as programs usually do. (This happens if the 'move it to tray' feature is disabled)

On closing the window, thunderbird should minimize as icon to the notification area tray. (This happens if the 'move it to tray' feature is enabled)

I think this should be an option integrated in thunderbird settings, if not to be the default behavior

i haven't found any extension to solve this yet and it is a little bit annoying when I use many windows and press alt-tab when thunderbird is minimized to the tray with x or - button when using the addon not to close thunderbird when pressing x, so it won't appear alongside other windows and i have to reclick the tray icon to show it again

I want to have both abilities to minimize to tray and minimize to TB at the same time

I believe that mail client has to be always running even if I press x button, unless I press Quit from inside the app

I've spent some time testing and trying to figure this out myself but without success. Epic fail some would say.

I'm running Thunderbird 128.4.3esr (64 bits) under Rocky Linux 8.10 (Green Obsidian) installed via Flatpak (Mozilla Thunderbird Flatpak en-US, thunderbird-flatpak - 1.0).

I have multiple IMAP accounts all set to empty trash on exit.

When I quit Thunderbird, I can see the actions it's performing in the bottom right among which I do read « Corbeille vidée » (trash cleared) for each account. But these trashes are not actually emptied.

I first thought it was not working at all but after more testing it seems like it does work but only for the trash that I've looked into before leaving the app (click on trash in the sidebar to display the message list it contains).

If I remember correctly it was working fine when installed from Rocky repo.

If anyone has any idea on the why and, even better, has a solution, that would be great.

Two weeks ago my received email displayed the imbedded links with a picture, now all I get is a blank box for the link. The link works properly but I would rather see the image in the email rather than click on the link

While deleting blocks of inbox messages the screen view suddenly went to full screen. By this i mean i have the menu bar at the top and the space bar on the left, the rest of the screen is the actual message that was originally highlighted. (i suspect fat finger syndrome and extra keys pushed) but i can not get back to the classic view even though it is ticked in the view/layout menu no matter what i try. all possibilties in the view menu explored, app restarted just came back to full screen. i have searched help database and cant find anything else to try. To all intents it is locked on this screen and i cant find a way out.

Afrer making a fresh installation of Thunderbird all newly coming messages are visible only under "All" ["Wszystkie/PL] folder and not "Inbox" anymore. I tried to review existing filter, visibility settings and folder settings however can't see anything what it could be the cause of this issue. I would expect as before re-installing Thunderbid that all newly messages lands by default under "Inbox" folder and only those for wich I have configured filter rules are moved into specific folders that previously created.

Thunderbird (Version 128.4.2esr) is not emptying the trash folder upon exiting the program, and I seem unable to find the setting to enable the function to automatically empty the folder.

I am using Thunderbird for my Google Workspace Business Standard (GWBS) account because certain things, like navigation, searching, mail merge, and others are much nicer with TB than with the Gmail browser interface. I created the account in TB in the usual way, with no special tweaking of the settings. I routinely need to send messages to the 167 members of our program. The problem is that when I try to do so using TB, I get the error in the first attached image. The actual recipient limit for my GWBS account is 2000 per message, and there is no problem sending messages to 167 recipients using the Gmail web interface.

I chatted with GW support about this and was told by the agent that "you have added 167 recipients in a single email, by using a third party IMAP server you can only 100 recipient's. However, the server settings for this account in TB are the ones in the third image, which doesn't seem to me to be a third party IMAP server. Has anyone else come up with a solution for this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,ever since I uninstalled Old Firefox and installed Firefox 115.17.0esr all my links in Thunderbird email won't open Firefox,it is the default browser? Please help anyone? Thank You in Advance.

For some reason I lost the ability to view photos in my email. All I see is a white blank box. If I want to look at something, I have to open the photo in new browser. I spend a lot of time looking at and ordering electronic components and I need to see these items in my mail rather opening them up in a browser. Could you please tell how to reset this thing so I can view the photos in my mail?

I am new to TB and just getting used to the settings coming from Outlook. I assume that when a message is delete in the inbox the next message can be displayed in the viewing pane. This is not happening for me. I have tried: Not having messages Threaded. Setting: mail.advance_on_delete mail.delete_matches_sort_order mail.advance_on_spacebar All to True. No joy so far!

What am I missing?

Since the latest Thunderbird update (128.4.2esr (64-bit)) in Ubuntu (Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS Wayland), it no longer responds to hovering over *any* boundary of any pane. I've restarted Thunderbird, and I've rebooted the machine, but to no avail. Panes can't be resized -- not horizontally, and not vertically.

It could be that the zone for resizing has been reduced to less than a pixel and that my low-res mouse in my aging hand just isn't precise enough to grab an edge. Is there an option somewhere to display easy-to-grab (and easy-to-see) handles on pane boundaries for those of us with old eyes, unsteady hands and crappy non-gamer mice?

At the very least, I need a clear cursor change when "in the zone" for grabbing and dragging, otherwise I'm liable to grab an email message and drag it instead (with potential data loss).

Suddenly, possibly due to an update but unsure (started on 6th November), my emails no longer sent in Thunderbird due to the above message. I am still receiving emails in Thunderbird. I have checked all of this with plusnet and as I can send and receive without problems in webmail, this is being seen as not a plusnet issue. In terms of trying to resolve, I have tried adding my password in to the box, have tried checking all of my smtp settings against those advised to no avail. Has something changed... There seems to be many similar threads but not sure if mine is the same so creating a new thread.

Seeking knowledge if possible, on how to import email sub-folder contents from another email provider (in this case, 'The Messaging Company') into Thunderbird. The "Import Tool" in Thunderbird appears limited to only a few sources that it can import from, however I'm unsure if there is another way. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

My display of Thunderbird is overrsized in width, probably not significantly but enough that I am missing text. Normally this is not a major concern but I was checking out a rule applied to incoming mail and could see features to the right. I am using W11 operating system on an HP Spectre.

I checked the Config Editor in settings and "layout.css.devPixelsPerPx" is not bold and is set at -1. How can reduced the width of the display?
