Whenever I'm trying to download games or files on my laptop, it says "You have chose to open: ____________." And then when I click on "Open with Firefox (default)" and then click OK, the options show up again, but in a new tab. It's not downloading anything, it just gives me the same options every time I press OK, but it opens in a new tab. Please help me!

HI Dylan3136, I understand that when you choose to open _____ with Firefox that it will open up a new tab and give you the same options. However what I don't understand is if the file you are opening is compatible with Firefox. Firefox will support web files mostly. Would you mind sharing an example of a download or a screenshot of what this dialogue looks like?

Do I have it backwards and you are downloading from Firefox and need to have a program associated with the downloaded file? If so, you can change these settings in the Applications menu in Firefox http://mzl.la/1xKrEoo

Try Saving the file instead of opening it.
