Starting Thunderbird at that moment, same problem. Word, Excel, ... are ok. Sometimes it is the lower 10% of the screen. See images.

Restarting pc is only solution to work with Firefox and Thunderbird.

I use W10 Pro 1909 on MS Surfacebook 16GB Firefox v71 (64bit) Thunderbird v68.2.2 (32-bits) Regards, Matty

Which menu are you referring to? Try hitting the Alt key, that should prompt a menu with File, Open, and other standard commands. Is that what you're referring to?

Hi Zack,

like you see in the screenshots, the upper part is blank. There is no info. Even the mouse cursor disappears when I enter the zone. It is like a blackhole (in this case a white hole ;-)

The x to close the firefox or thunderbird window is not functioning or is not visible. This happens from time to time, so it is not a standard problem. And as far as i have tested only with firefox and thunderbird. Not with Word, Excel, ...

So in the white hole zone, I see Word but not FF or TB.

Regards, Matty

I would try restarting the PC. This seems to be a graphical issue?

You could always try refreshing firefox. Go to about:support and there should be a button there for it. Don't worry, all of your data will be saved and automatically placed in a backup folder. If the problem persists after a refresh, we'll try something else.

Hi Zack, as you can see on the screenshot, there in no menu to choose from.

Hmm... I don't use Windows so I'm not familiar with graphics on it. You might try re-installing the latest stable build of firefox.
