After updating to 19.0, I can no longer post photos or follow links in FB. The shield is grey, and it says no trackers are being blocked. Is this your doing, or Facebook’s? I have an iPhone 6+ running iOS 12.4.1

It could also be a facebook issue. Did you try using Safari?

In retrospect, it may be Facebook retaliating against the tracker blocking, but the shield is halftone and says 0 trackers are being blocked.

Like howdytom mentioned, have you tried using Safari to see if the same issue occurs?

I have not tried Safari (I don’t use it for much), but I did notice that if I reload without tracking protection everything functions perfectly. The baffler is the bit about the halftone shield. If it indicted blocked trackers, that might point to the issue. It’s almost as if Zuckerberg senses the blocker and sends a non-functional page in place of the usual tracker-loaded package.

If I understand correctly, the shield showing up means something is being blocked (it's always halftone btw). If there's nothing to block the shield wouldn't show up at all.

In the latest update (19.0) the shield is fulltone and purple when trackers are being blocked, and halftone gray when none are present. Tapping the gray shield produces a message indicating that no trackers are present. Tapping the purple shield produces a list of trackers. It looks a whole lot like Zuck’s fighting back. I’ll stop using the site before I let him win.

I... wasn't aware of that. Didn't realised a new update came out even, thanks for the correction, very much appreciated.
