SITUATION: Last night my old 32-bit processor was replaced with a 64-bit processor, a 250 Gbyte SSD was installed, and a new Windows 10 operating system was installed. My old drive C became drive D. After the nice computer tech left at 9 pm, I downloaded and installed application software that I need for my work, including Thunderbird. This morning I connected Thunderbird to my gmail account and local ISP email account (to check for urgent messages). I have reviewed the procedures for transferring Thunderbird data (Profiles, Roaming, etc.) and have saved my current data in a temporary location for safety. My old Thunderbird data included archived messages going back about 20 years as well as address books containing important contacts on six continents.

PROBLEM: I cannot find my old Thunderbird data on the old drive C/new drive D. I have searched the drive for folder names including Thunderbird or Profiles (50+ such folders) or Roaming without success.

QUESTION: How might I find the old Thunderbird data (with important messages to me before 7 pm yesterday evening)?

I think I have solved problem. I recalled an old version of Far configured to work with hidden system files. That Far.exe is so old that it is not a program that is installed or uninstalled, and it therefore ran fine (although a bit slow in copying a LARGE amount of data). I copied Thunderbird from ...AppData/Roaming to D:\tmp\ where it is readily accessible (just as if I had copied it from another machine onto a flash). Now to uninstall Thunderbird and reinstall and copy to old info. Thanks.
