Even though I'm logged in on TB with my Mozilla pw, TB will not reveal my passwords in TB settings. I use @hotmail.com and there appears to be a problem with pop3 server, Microsoft and TB. I get a authentication failure and according to FAQs I need to delete my pw in TB and enter a new one. But can't get there to delete.

1. some webpages extremely slow loading while others are fine. All load fine on Chrome. Why? Particularly true with https://www.tab.com.au/ that I use 2-3 times a week. In Chrome it's immediate connect.

2. cannot sign in to my members account on (eg) Choice but easy on Chrome. Why?

Love Firefox when it works but I'm getting so frustrated. Seriously considering going back to Chrome - reluctantly.

Also so many website/page freezes & non responses over last ~3 months. Grrrr

I was excited to see that Firefox had support for Canadian English, however the dictionary seems to be missing numerous words and I get spelling errors for words like "lasagna."

Is this a bug or is the dictionary just barely populated with words and missing a tremendous amount?

I recently upgraded to the latest version 132.0.2. There's a vertical sidebar on my browser that I would like to remove. I looked into the customize sidebar settings but can't seem to find a way to remove it completely. I've also attached a screenshot. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

on Windows 11, my installation of Thunderbird was only partially successful. I created my own installation path, as permitted by the Thunderbird installation instruction which included a "Local Folders" folder as a placeholder for all of my wife mail folders. But after copying all of her mail folder to C:Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\Local Folders - Thunderbird can't find them . The installation app gave no warning of impending doom. Any ideas about what might have gone wrong? I installed Thunderbird several times into slightly different paths - but not the default because I do my own backups and need to know where my files are located. Even though I am the administrator of the system I also got some messages telling me I wasn't an authorized user. Thanks for any tips, ideas or even complete solutions are appreciated. I keep experiencing this problem with different websites: Safari works, Firefox doesn't.

I entered valid license numbers (230880, 239798). Firefox displays NOTHING, no error message. Safari displays the relevant info.

Why is this and what should I do if I want to continue using Firefox? Thanks.

What is this window called? When this window started popping up a couple of months ago, I noticed a couple of odd things happening on a website I go to. It would not let me pay them. It would look like it was going to then a white screen would pop up ans say" if you see this window then you ...........". I then have to pay on the phone or chrome. I have whitelisted the site but still does it.

I am no longer able to log into my Spectrum email using Firefox as my browser. I can login using Chrome. Firefox worked fine until I tried logging in on November 21 and then I ended up in a loop. I can access other parts of Spectrum, just can't get to mail. I have it set up to transfer to Outlook and than works fine. Spectrum says there is nothing they can do about it.

Has anyone else had this experience? If so, were you able to resolve it?

I'm using windows 11. Formerly, I was downloading videos from YouTube to folders on my virtual desktop, with no problem. When selected the video which I wanted to save, a window from File Explorer would open, and I could select where I wanted to store the file. I could select a folder I created, on the desktop, and the file would be saved exactly where I wanted it. Lately, the File Explorer window which opens up, has a different menu, which shows the cloud of One Drive, which wasn't there before, and the only selection for "desktop" is there. The downloads always fail, and I can't even find them on the cloud. The Microsoft techs claim that the problem is with FireFox. How do I get back to normal?

C:Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\Local Folders has all my mail folders from my previous computer - but Thunderbird can't find them - Why? I can send and receive e-mail but none of my folders are available

Allows the app to have the same access to mailboxes as the signed-in user via POP protocol.

This is a permission requested to access your data in xx Send emails from mailboxes using SMTP AUTH. Maintain access to data you have given it access to View users' basic profile"

This was functioning with the previous version of Thunderbird, but now my IT team requires additional information about what the app is trying to do with our Office 365 environment. The approval process is crucial because some apps may introduce security risks or seek extensive access to our Office 365 resources.

Could you please provide more detailed information on the permissions requested and the specific changes in this version compared to previous versions? This will help in getting the necessary approval from our IT team.

I recently (a week or two ago) updated my Thunderbird mailer to version 132.0.2, and it ran fine. Then two days ago I updated the MacOS on my 2018nMacBook Pro laptop from 15.1.0 to 15.1.1. Now Thunderbird crashes when I attempt to open it.

I have a several weeks old "time machine" backup that I could roll everything back to, but prefer not to lose the work I've done in the intervening time.

Suggestions?

Nov 2024 - How Do I disable Threads in the Email folders?

My Inbox I think I somehow disabled, but my SENT folder....still has them. Please help. I HATE this as a default setting that can not be turned off...Universally..(in all folders)

Thunderbird version 128.4.3esr (64-Bit): I followed the instructions (tools > export for mobile), but no accounts are shown to be exported to my Android mobile. Following the support link there, I do not see why my account is configured in a way that is not supported by Thunderbird for Android. On my earlier mobile, this account could be used.
