=I want to move my account to another instance on Mastodon. How do I do that?=
At any point before Dec 17, 2024, you can migrate your account to another instance on Mastodon by following [https://fedi.tips/transferring-your-mastodon-account-to-another-server/ these instructions].
{note}'''Note:''' If you previously migrated an existing Mastodon account to Mozilla.social, migrating back to that original account may not transfer all followers successfully. For these cases, consider first migrating to a new account on a new interim Mastodon server, then migrating from the interim server back to your original account on the original server. Reports suggest that migrating directly back to a reactivated account on a previous server may not transfer followers, but that using a new interim server is a successful work-around.{/note}
=Can I download my data before shutdown?=
You can download archives of your Mozilla.social activity from [https://mozilla.social/settings/export this page].
