Yikes ... this is EXTREMELY annoying. I always want to be asked where to download files. I have tried all the recommended fixes including going into "about:config" and changing the setting recommended in other threads ... no joy! I am using version 131.0 (64 bit) W10! I have tried refreshing ... no joy!

I use Internet Bill Pay through my bank, and it has always worked correctly with Firefox. I have enhanced tracking protection turned off for the site secureinternetbank.com and I have cookies authorized in my exceptions list. Today I got this message:

Bank says it hasn't changed anything, and no tweaks I tried on privacy settings fixed it. I believe it's an issue with the new version. Can you tell me how to fix it or let me know when Firefox will fix it? The site works fine in Microsoft Edge, but I'd like to avoid using Edge.

I have my settings set to block audio and video from auto playing (I have limited data) and amazon.com still auto plays advertising and 'influencer' videos, why?

FF Settings menu, select, Startup, (Open previous Windows /tabs) is greyed out an not selectable. I adopted FireFox because I like the way that it operated. I could open FireFox and previous tabs and windows would open automatically. When I opened a new tab, FF would jump there automatically. If I wanted to check spelling, I could type in the search window and see correct options. ALL THAT IS GONE! Why should I keep using FF when it has lost functions that I depended upon?

I have tried to log into my google accounts on the browser, but everytime I press the sign in button on the google homepage, it takes me to google's "clear cache" website. However, signing in works normally on a private window. I have tried clearing my cache multiple times and it keeps taking me back to the cache page.

I have tried to regaing access to my main account for days now and I can not get past the "Enter authentication code to continue to ⁨Firefox Sync⁩"

"Open your authentication app and enter the authentication code it provides." "Enter 6-digit code"

So where is the authentication app"

I want back into my account!!!!!!

I've tried to Uninstall Firefox Multiple times - I have Clear out the Registry and located every possible file andfolder on my system but it appears Firefox has some anchor files and or lines in the registry that I am unable to remove and all that happens when I attempt to create a new account or use my primary account or some old accounts using old email addresses is it is looking for a 6 Digit Code from an Authenticator App I don;t seem to have or know how to get to - I want this resolved and not told to do pointless instructions from Mozilla support that lead, EVERYTIME to the same issue I am trying to resolve.

Version 131 caused me all sorts of playback issues in Visla AI video rendering program 130 was OK!! works fine in Chrome and Brave with no issues, Definitely a Firefox issue with video playback Playing already render videos have no issue only when playback on this particular Visla Site. You tube and other videos play OK

Any time I try to sign into a Microsoft website with my Microsoft account, it defaults to my school account rather than my personal one. Sometimes I click "sign in" and it brings me to the page for choosing an account to sign into, the only option is my school account, leaving me to choose "sign in with another account" and put my email in manually. Sometimes when I click "sign in" it just automatically logs me into my school account and I have to go back to the sign in button to change. Sometimes it seems to just sign me into my school account automatically.

I made a post on the Microsoft Forum about the topic and was told it was most likely a browser issue. I've looked through my saved passwords but didn't find any clues to the issue, perhaps it's related to cookies? But I haven't much confidence clearing them would solve things as this issue has persisted over full OS reinstallations.

The only place I've actually entered the login information for my school account was signing into Outlook, while my personal account I only logged into manually on... some other Microsoft platform, perhaps the account management page. The password for my personal account is remembered, but the data entry forms never autofill; after I type in the email manually it just instantly signs me in.

This has been going on for about a week now. I use the google chat/messenger portion thats built into the Gmail website.

I can paste pics, drag and drop, etc, it all seems fine. I can see the thumbnail versions in the chat. People can send me as well. The problem is once I click any, it normally puts a small darkening filter over the back ground and then does a fullscreen view of the image. in this case it just loads forever.

If I right click and try to open in a new tab I get an odd Error 403 message, Your client does not have permission to get URL /chat_attachment/ and then a long string of characters.

Ive tried the usual, updated, rebooted, etc. Even in FFox safe mode to rule out extensions. Still not working.

FFox 131.0, Windows 11 23H2.

I recently bought a new computer and synced my Firefox profile. Bookmarks and other items have synced, but only two of my add-ons (extensions) are syncing from the old computer. I'd love to be able to sync them all especially because one of the add-ons is no longer available and I use it frequently. Is there a different way to bring the extensions form the old computer to the new one?

New version has no refresh window button and no new tab button.

Can you show me how to add a refresh page button? Also, there used to be a tab in the tab bar to make a new tab. How do I get that back? Is this functionality no changing to a plug in? What the heck....

Hi Team, There is no sound when I try to play music or videos in the Mozilla Firefox browser. It works on other browsers though. Could you please help?

Yesterday, I installed whatever the current version is for Windows 11. At some point after that, it hung. It wouldn't close, even after doing End Task in task manager, nor shutting down the PC.

When I try to start it, it tells me "Firefox is already running, but not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window."

Go to task manager, but the only thing I see related to Firefox is under Details pane. Shows a PID but I can't kill it even using the taskkill command as admin:

SUCCESS: The process with PID 15724 (child process of PID 19568) has been terminated. ERROR: The process with PID 32008 (child process of PID 8260) could not be terminated. The PID noted above shows a location of C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\tobedeleted, but if I try to delete it (or any other tmp files with yesterday's date), it says they're open in Firefox and won't let me.

Attempted uninstall and reinstall. Same issues as above. Firefox is now unable to be used. I have a ton of bookmarks that I haven't backed up recently by the way. I do NOT want to lose them.

Hi, I got an error code 431 from a website that I used to visit since updating to the newer version 131.0 (64 bit) Firefox on Oct. 1. I tried to clear all the cookies, cache, and reboot the machine, but still get the same error code. Do you have any suggestion how to fix this issue? Thanks.

Settings are set to Open Previous Windows and History upon restart. NO crash(last crash report was 2022). NO update. Opened Firefox today with no tabs, no history, no option to restore. Bookmarks are intact, settings it seems. I am not sure what happened.

After searching and trying to follow several articles - still nothing helped. Looking at Profile - and the 3 choices were from today. Is there ANY WAY to restore previous to today?

On 9/29/2024 my sign in to icloud to use mail worked fine. Monday 9/30/2024 the mail loaded but didn't work correctly. Prior to Monday, I could right click and select a delete, move, or whatever. I could open the email and the options were available just above the mail. If I use other browsers, edge, chrome, opera, etc it works great. It doesn't with FF(my preferred browser) I do not think this is an Apple issue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled icloud and reinstalled FF. Didn't uninstall it and lose all my data. I've added icloud.com to allowed list. Still doesn't work. I need help.
