Thunderbird for Android Community Forum

Hallo, gibt es bei Thunderbird für Android die Möglichkeit die Mailadresse des Empfängers anzeigen zu lassen? Bei mehreren Mailadressen in einem Konto steht da immer nur an mich und das ist häufig verwirrend. Vorab schon mal vielen Dank für Eure Mühe, Alois

Is there a way to change font colors and add/remove bold in the signature field?

I tried adding html tags as in Thunderbird desktop but it didn't have any effect.

When I send a mail, the sent folder logically shows the recipient. However, if I move a sent mail into, say, a client folder, all I have is a very user-unfriendly header that shows that I sent the mail. Not a lot of help when I move many mails into client folders. There doesn't seem to be an option anywhere to change this.

On PC thunderbird I can remove the "from" column as I know it's from me, and show the "recipient" column. Is this possible on the mobile version of TB?

Two questions, specific to mobile version (no problem with Linux laptop version)

• how to create a folder and subfolder on an imap account ?
• how to mask subfolders (created by other mean) by default ? But to display only in parent vient.

Hi - it was super-easy to export my settings from Windows and import them into Thunderbird Android. The app is much faster than the Gmail app, I do like it. However, I've got a couple of issues:

- deleting a read email (from my inbox) permanently deletes it, it doesn't go to trash. - It appears that there is no address book for this application. Moreover, I can't find a way to have it look at my Google contacts - so I have to lookup and copy/paste my email recipients. I'm sure I am overlooking something. Other posts suggested something from the ... menu when composing, but I don't see an option to select from (Google) contacts.

I have 4 mail accounts in my Thunderbird for Android ... and a unified inbox that displays mails from all these accounts. Furthermore, I don't want mails to sync automatically, but only if I do this actively i.e. pull down the inbox to get new mails. This works fine in each of the accounts ... but it does not work for me in the unified inbox. So if I want to fetch new mails I have to go into each of the single accounts and pull down the inbox so mails are fetched there. After that, they'll get displayed in the unified inbox, too. But if I pull down the unified inbox, nothing happens.

My desired behaviour would be that I just go to the unified inbox, pull down there and all inboxes fetch mails. How can I achieve this?

As I've said, I'm at least planning on moving from BlueMail to Thunderbird (which I've been using on my PC for ages). But in the couple of days I've been experimenting with it, I've now found a second problem. It seems that when I download something from the server, it's no longer available for download elsewhere. BlueMail deletes from server when you delete your trash. PC is set to delete on download. Can't find a way to set this on Android version.

Longtime K-9 user. Learned today my outgoing mail send from Spectrum RoadRunner e-mail account wasn't being sent. Switched on my Android to your app and same issue exists. Setting up an oh.rr.com account says your found (like K-9) an untrusted configuration. Yet when i try to use the one Spectrum wants, i get this message "unable to parse TLS packet header” when trying to send. Here are the settings they want used: SSL - on for SMTP & IMAP Protocol - IMAP Incoming and outgoing Server - mail.twc.com Incoming Server Port - 993 Outgoing Server Port - 587 Requires Authentication - Yes, or checked.

I'm gradually moving from BlueMail to Thunderbird. BM lets me create new folders (I use "hold" and "action") to which I move things I've read and want to keep until downloaded to Thunderbird on my PC. Other stuff goes to trash and (along with spam) gets deleted. This program's documentation SAYS you can create "new subfolders" but I can't find out how. "Manage folders" doesn't seem to help.

kann ich meinen Mailkonten auch Icons zuordnen? Das wurde nach der Designumstellung rausgenommen. Nun ist es problematisch mehrere Mailkonten zuzuordnen.

Schade, dass das alte zwischenzeitlich schöne und moderne Design von K9 in eine unübersichtliche Outlook-Kopie umgewandelt wurde. Weiß jemand warum das sein musste?

Hallo, Unterordner werden leider nicht mehr automatisch synchronisiert. Bei K9 hat es funktioniert. Wurde es tatsächlich abgeschaltet oder kann ich es konfigurieren?

Hallo, in der Desktop Version funktioniert das verschieben von Mails in Ordner eines anderen Mailkonto ganz wunderbar. Wenn man auf Verschieben geht werden alle Ordner aller installierten Mailkonten angezeigt und ich kann die Mail in den notwendigen Ordner verschieben.

In Thunderbird für Android kann ich nur innerhalb des einen Mailkonto verschieben, was die Arbeit doch schon einschränkt.

Ihr hattet verkündet, das Thunderbird für Android die gleichen Funktionen erhalten soll wie die Desktop Version.

Gibt es eine Aussicht auf diese Funktion bei Android?
