Hi, I've started my laptop after 3 days, opened Firefox web browser and all my tabs are closed / lost. If I try History -> "Recently closed tabs or windows" is greyed out. How can I recover all my tabs from this computer?

Hi. I was just looking at Google Photos on both Firefox and Chrome. Chrome had a bigger picture because the window had only the tabs bar and the address bar, and Firefox has an additional title bar. I was wondering if it would be possible to remove the title bar so the picture on both browsers were the same size?

Today I keep on getting messages like this when trying to sign into my Comcast email. I've never had this issue before signing in:

Thunderbird automatically updated to v128 earlier this week after I went to Help - About Thunderbird to check that it had updated to v115.14.

Everything seemed okay immediately after the update, but when I started Thunderbird the next day it was very unresponsive. Checking the Activity Manager showed that Thunderbird was indexing messages, but that this was happening very slowly. I let Thunderbird do its thing that day in the hope that things would settle down.

The next day when I started Thunderbird things were still bad. I tried Rebuilding the Global Database but when I restarted Thunderbird it was just as bad, if not worse.

I then turned off indexing in the Thunderbird settings and Thunderbird is now responsive and back to normal.

Is anyone else seeing anything like this? Any suggestions to fix the problem?

I am a long time Thunderbird user so my profile is very large with a lot of accounts, and has been through a lot of Thunderbird versions, so it is potentially more complicated than normal.

Thunderbird version is currently 128.1.0esr (32-bit).

Since yesterday, I suddenly cannot receive mail from the office365 server with thunderbird. Authentication passes, but timeout occurs when receiving mail. There is no problem with sending mails. I did not change anything in thunderbird settings yesterday.

I tried changing the authentication method to OAUTH2 for my Outlook live mail account (POP). For that, I had to change the server name to office365.com. After restarting Thunderbird, I was able to download new messages but all the old messages already stored in Thunderbird disappeared, even though Thunderbird still shows the same old Local Directory as being used.

How do I change the authentication to OAUTH2 & get my old messages back?

If I delete & again create the Outlook live account, would it effect my old mails/filters ?

since I installed Ubuntu 24.04 Thunderbird (V. 128.1.0 as snap app) changes the path of the local directory each time I restart Thunderbird. My original path to the local directory points to a mounted drive e.g. /media/username/disk... Thunderbird changes it to /run/usr/1000/doc/.... How can I avoid this? The same thing happens also to the path of the signature file.

Hi! I have a new laptop and want to export a certificate I had installed in my previous laptop. When trying to do so, I'm asked to choose a certificate backup password which I need to enter twice to validate. Once I do it, this message comes up, "Failed to create the PKCS #12 backup file for unknown reasons". I've tried several times with different passwords but the same issue remains. Hello, for two months now I've been unable to use Paypal to buy anything on Firefox. Nothing I have done has changed and it's gone from a nuisance to me considering new browsers. I need to be able to pay for things.

I cannot print anything on my computer since this PDF Print appeared. Everything was going along as per normal, now this. How do I get it back to the "normal" situation for me. Receive an email, hit the print button and lo and behold a printed sheet, etc. It is driving me to distraction. I have been using FireFox since whenever, no problems. I'm not too computer savvy but enjoy its use like anyone else. Something I will be able to follow and implement. I have seen a delete article but couldn't get it to do anything for. So, I have a professional account with outlook.office365.com for my professional email (which is aleclercq@sobemab.fr). But I use my personal email to contact you right now. We have Black in Mail operating for all new email and then I can't get email from you unless you authenticate yourself.

Anyway, my configuration is : HP computer, windows 11 Professional (build 22631.4112) Thunderbird version 128.2.0esr (64-bit). Add-on Owl for exchange.

Now, when I launch Thunderbird, it connect properly and I do receive emails. All good.

But the problem comes when I want to SEND an email. It doesn' t work. I have attached some screenshots for you to see. It will be easier that way, I guess. I'll appreciate your help on that matter ASAP. Outlook is ok, but I can't stand it and I really want to use Thunderbird. :)

Hi! I recently migrated from Chrome to Firefox and everything is OK except for homepage shortcut icons. They load when I open the sites again but dissappear again after a day or two. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks a lot

Whenever I try to open up my emails in my Thunderbird email Program I keep being requested to enter a password and it doesn’t seem to work properly. How can I fix this? It’s only with my Outlook emails my husband and my mother have the same issue please help.

Your instructions for changing outgoing server settings for Microsoft SMTP server require changing authentication method to OAuth2. Unfortunately this doesn't appear in the drop down menu. I only have No authentication, Norman password, encrypted password, Kerberos/GSSAPI, NTLM. Which of these should I chose instead or how can I get the correct setting to show? Security settings for incoming server settings are fine (ie. OAuth2 can be selected).
