1. I use a startpage called IGHome. That address is set as my default to open to. When it opens I notice that the address is not secure. When I add https:// in front of it, it does in-fact open, which is good. Even though I added that prefix to the address on the Internet Options page in my system, it still continues to open the old 'unsecured' way. I also cleaned IGHome out of my system before resaving it. Is there anyway to get my system to recognize the secure version? And, if I open any sites with passwords on the unsecured version, they DO open as secured so in reality I am still safe (even though my system is not opening the https site).

2. Also, on my IGHome page, there are 'Show Your History' and 'Show your Bookmarks' tabs at the top right in the toolbar. When I used to open them they would open almost flush right. Now they open almost in the center. Is there a way to make them open in their previous flush right location again?

I want to sequester Address Bar Function in the main address area for web address or native locations, from search function contained inside of the window, the search should be only a web search, but I think that part is covered in standard settings, so address. Thanks Much

For the longest while, FF has been wasting a lot of my time by being non-responsive a lot. Is there anything I can do to eliminate the non-responsiveness?

The other problem that I have experience also on a regular basis when searching is waiting for Google to transfer info to FF.

Years ago, this wasn't the case. I am also hoping that a fix exists to speed up FF.

I have a Mac with Sonoma. Somehow a while ago I ended up with Firefox ESR, which I was told that will not be supported after September.

I am a non-technical user. While I do have Safari and Chrome, I would prefer to continue using Firefox.

Could you please let me know the steps to execute to somehow switch from the ESR version to the current normal version without loosing settings, bookmarks or ending up with problems? Thanks in advance.

I get this sometimes when moving/backing up profile contents, even when the the eventual path of the moved contents will be shorter than the original.

I have a problematic profile, so I copied it's contents to another folder with a shorter title in the same directory, but I prevented from including the file in question.

In this particular situation, the file in question is an .html file opened in a session tab. I assume It's omission not going to be detrimental.

Has anyone seen this sort of thing occurring with files that directly affect profile operations? I'm wondering if that sort of thing might be contributing to my current recurring profile issues.

I'm writing a library that takes user submitted text and renders it in the browser, among other things.

The user may submit text that mixes lines of RTL and LTR text, and each line should be rendered in the appropriate alignment and direction.

To this end, I'm presenting text in paragraph html elements with unicode-bidi: plaintext which is intended for this behavior.

I am seeing a strange behavior where a line wrap in a single span of RTL text causes the second line to be rendered LTR. This only occurs in Firefox. I'm hoping to find a workaround or fix. Toggling the unicode-bidi attribute on the paragraph element fixes the issue, as does opening the developer console for me. Seems very erratic.

I am submitting text like this:

זוהי פסקה של טקסט. הנה קישור ראשון, זהו טקסט מילוי. הנה קישור שני, זהו טקסט מילוי. והנה קישור שלישי, זהו טקסט מילוי. Which is wrapping, and the wrapped portion is aligned left instead of right.

A particular app won't verify me. It says I need to go to settings on my browser and enable locations. I use Firefox with Windows 11. I have no idea what they are talking about or how to do that. Can anybody help? Thanks.

Hello, My saved passwords do not work on certain sites on my Windows 11 computer and my Android smartphone. I have repaired firefox,and created a new profile as advised by members of the French forum.i have also created a new account. On the computer only, I no longer have the subtitles on the skillshare site. When I go to pinterest and deezer, the page does not display normally. I can't see the images in the duckduckgo search either, because I've been redirected to a non-javascript site. I had ccleaner, it was suggested to me that the problem came from there but I uninstalled it before creating the new profile. I also have bit defender free on my devices. Thank you.

I'm trying to set up Firefox on a new Windows 11 laptop and having issues.

First, I installed a couple of Add-ons and set them up, I use one to have a Home Page, and another for zoom percentage. And I went into each one and set them up as I want them. But when I closed FF and reopened it, they were gone, as if I didn't install them at all. And all the changes I made to the top part of the browser - icons and overall look - reverted back to what FF is "out of the box."

Also, on my old laptop, I went into about:config and changed the ui.textScaleFactor because the default FF top part is too wide for me. But when I went into it on the new laptop, and changed the number, nothing happened. On the old one, when you enter a different number and hit enter, the change is made immediately.

Also, I did make FF my default browser on the new laptop, at least I think I did. I clicked the link to do that, and it brought me to a window with a bunch of confusing extensions. I changed them all to Firefox, including E-Mail, and I don't even want FF being the default for E-mail. And I did click the check on top and clicked "Make FF the default browser." But when I open FF, I keep getting asked if I want to make FF my default browser and to pin it to the task bar. But it already is!

I should point out, that it's possible I downloaded FF twice, and may have installed it twice. But when I go to Install/uninstall files, just one is listed. And I only have one FF icon on my desktop.

So what is going on?
