I have a virus that posts its site on my landing page / home page.

It cannot be dismissed. I cannot find any part of its URL in Finder. Norton Antivirus doesn't detect it. It cannot be overwritten. It cannot be edited away. It CAN be moved to the fourth line of home page icons and only three lines shown, which puts it out of sight. Rebooting the machine doesn't cure it.

Can I find the listing of sites on my home page and remove it from the list?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not good with computers so help has to be put in simple terms.

I get the following error when I try to log in to Bitwarden with windows hello: Browser integration is not set up in the Bitwarden desktop application. Please set it up in the settings within the desktop application.

When I went online today (8/21/2024) firefox said it needed an update and started running it. Seemed to take a long time, and then timed out. killed the browser and restarted. Same thing.

Is this a bad update? Having to use another product to ask this question.

I was using Firefox and had just checked my bank account when the error message above appeared. I have tried updating Firefox via Norton but all attempts at updating fail.

I have had to download Chrome as a standby but would prefer to go back to Firefox

For the past few weeks if you try and search and have it open in a tab your on or even a new tab it won't do it. it just does nothing. My browser is up to date. i'm not sure what is going on. often i have to close the whole browser and reopen to get it to open a new site or search what is going on

I have posted this before but have not found a solution. When I open my modem configuration page in FireFox I get one display but when I open it in Edge (which I would only use if absolutely as a last resort) I get a different but correct display. I will attach two jpg images to illustrate what I see. Notice the overlap on the FireFox image. This only occurred with a recent update in Fox.

How do it set up my web browser so it lists the websites i frequently visit when i pull down the search bar? Now it just lists the google searches i have conducted.

Hi. I got a new laptop some weeks ago (Linux Fedora) and I've been using Firefox without any problems until last week. When watching Youtube videos my system shell crashes completely. This problem ONLY happens with Youtube videos and Firefox. Other browsers work fine and I don't have this problem in other websites.

Eu sou utilizador do youtube e já há muito tempo (2 anos +/-) este faz interrupções constantes de video e audio ao mesmo tempo quando tento ver algo no youtube, isto só acontece com o Firefox com o Omega não há este problema, eu queria continuar com o Firefox mas com o assunto resolvido. Obrigado

After updating with Mozilla 129.02 yesterday my platform freezes completely after about 30 secs. I cannot even get the Task manager to work. I have to switch it off at the mains and hope the switch back on is not too harmful. ( 'Update' is fast becoming one of the most scariest words in the English language)

It is useless. I tried to restore 3953 items from a previous back up and received the message "Unable to process the backup file".

I am not interested in hearing how to prevent this problem in the future, because obviously creating backups do not work.

How do I check to see if the problem was caused by security software, even though I have not added anything?

I've got a question/suggestion about Picture in Picture feature. Why "Close" button works the same as "Back to Tab"?

Scenario: Close the Picture in Picture video by clicking on the [X] button or Cmd+W shortcut.

Actual result: Picture in Picture closes and Firefox window opens, on the tab containing the video. This is very strange behaviour. If I close the video, I don't want to watch it now. Essentially "Close" button works exactly like "Back to Tab" button - so what's the point? If I wanted to switch to the tab - I would click on "Back to tab".

Expected result: I expect Picture in Picture video to close and nothing else to happen. Don't open the window/tab containing the video.

LINUX. see subject, please. i started on this laptop w/ mint. 5 or 6 years ago. then downloaded peppermint 1 and has been working great, but the browser does not update automatically like is said. Then, my Linux guy up and passed away. I know no one in town that uses it. I'M ON LINUX. any help appreciated. have gotten some replies with folk trying to help, but it just wants to download/install whole program. my bank wants me to upgrade to at least 115. can't access accts. Chase are useless. They don't know what Linux is. Perhaps someone here can point me in right direction? Regards. God bless.
