This has been a problem for me for a very long time, and I'm tired of having to use chrome every time there's an update to firefox.

The issue I have is that I will get the notification saying there's an update. I click the button to update now, the browser opens the auto download page and I get a not secure connection warning. The only work around I've found is to use chrome, and sometimes I can use the "other downloads".

I'm not running a VPN, or any other networking software on my pc. This is for the full program, not the windows store app.

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to download.mozilla.org. The server uses key pinning (HPKP) but no trusted certificate chain could be constructed that matches the pinset. Key pinning violations cannot be overridden.

Error code: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_KEY_PINNING_FAILURE

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Such an annoying problem with current version 128.5.2esr. On one notebook with Windows 11 Hone I install the latest version (no Thunderbird previously installed), works fine.

One another notebook with Windows 11 Home existing Thunderbird freezes. After startup it just hangs, using so much CPU, that the battery is half drained after 30 minutes. Then reinstalling does not help. The same issue persists.

I read that uninstall does not remove the profiles and that cause the issues. Is that possible. Feature request. Also it would be fine to have the option to remove the profile on uninstall, so the non-tech savy user has also a chance of using this client.

I have finally decided to take a chance on upgrading TB from version 115.10.1 to 115.16.3 hoping that this would fix the huge delays and getting hung up checking my Gmail accounts but apparently not. Is there any hope or any answers?

I am about to set up a new Windows 11 laptop. The old one is a Win10 one, running Thunderbird 128.4.3 32-bit. Note I haven't upgraded to 5.2esr yet. My Thunderbird profile as recorded by Mozbackup is about 16GB - most of this is archived in Local Folders. I have 15 email accounts (using four different domains, none of them are gmail or hotmail etc) and a newsgroup.

I've looked at various answers (and problems!) around these factors and cannot see the wood for the trees. Can anybody tell me - or direct me to - a clear description of how to go about this? Some questions are:

1. Can I install 64-bit on the new laptop and copy over the old 32-bit profile? If not, is there any problem in continuing to use a 32 bit Thunderbird? I am getting a lot of hanging/not responding in the current TB. Note I haven't upgraded to 5.2esr yet.

2. How do I ensure that all the archived mail is transferred without problems? I haven't compacted anything lately, since I noticed that sometimes a message stub is retained where the message body seems to have disappeared, and that compacting risks deleting even the message stub, which can be useful.

3. I've been using MozBackup for ages now but it is really ancient - is there a more up-to-date backup that would be reliable?

Thanks in advance! I'm planning on do the new installations at the weekend but anything I can do to prepare would be useful to know!

Последнее обновление сломало ВСЁ. Нажимаешь на сохранённую вкладку и ничего не происходит - странички не открываются и даже не пытаются загрузиться. Жмёшь на меню настроек, ничего не происходи. На синхронизацию - ничего не происходит. Сносил браузер, переустанавливал, чистил, ставил новую версию, ставил старую версию - НЕ РАБОТАЕТ НИЧЕГО. При этом браузер Edge нормально работает - через него и пишу Вам. Работаю на Window 10 (всё обновлено).

Can Firefox add support for long screenshots on Pixel devices? This feature works on other apps. From what I've gathered it's up to the app developer to add support.

lost all my History Tabs I had set up on my Browser :-( Never Had that happen before, as I was ALWAYS able to RESTORE my tabs. Please help, cause I have MANY TABS OPEN for my Cancer Dr's and all the info that goes with CANCER APPTS etc. Please Help me get my tabs back soon :-) Thank You, Jeff Price.

Have tried multiple times to update Firefox on my laptop, apparently unsucessfully, as I get messages in some apps saying I need to update. Anybody have any ideas?

For the third time in a few months I have done an update and it breaks my Windows. My apps stop, my task bar disappears and becomes unavailable. I have to use Task Manager to either sign out and back in, restart Windows Explorer or re-boot the laptop. Then another update comes out and fixes that. But the inconvenience of having to shut down in the middle of a remote meeting is embarrassing to say the leas.

Come on guys. You are better than this - you are Mozilla not Microsoft - don't adopt their bad practices and procedures.

I love the app but would ask that the search widget be non-forced when I install firefox as I find it invasive and If I want to look for something I open firefox so I have moved it to a screen I never go to , also I set most of my apps to close on lock screen and I find I continually get notified of firefox being closed even though I don't open it ????
