Hi all. Prior to 13.0.1 or whatever the newest update is, my Flash Audio controls were within the Firefox audio controls in the mixer. Flash's audio controls are now outside of the firefox audio controls...

So, I can't listen to Youtube, because I can't control my Flash player inside my browser (Lowering Firefox's sounds does not lower Youtube videos). This is difficult for me, as I love to listen to my youtube playlists while talking to my girlfriend over skype. It's in the background, and I keep it no higher than about 10 on the volume, so it's more a muffled rumble with my headphones.

Now, however, I am unable to do this... Its annoying to have to go to your volume mixer EVERY video and reduce the sound. Is this a Flash/Firefox issue?

EDIT// When I downgraded my flash, the FF/Flash audio both became contained within just the firefox audio control. I'm assuming therefore this is a flash related problem.

hello, yes you're right - this is likely due to the "protected mode" adobe has included in its plugin for firefox. in some cases it doesn't seem to forward input form hotkeys or volume changes back to the system

How do I fix this? Can you explain it in layman's terms?

Very irritating. Had to revert back to 10.3. Why did they do this with the newest version?

This page - http://blogs.adobe.com/asset/2012/06/inside-flash-player-protected-mode-for-firefox.html - explains why Adobe did it.

"Our Protected Mode implementation allows Flash Player to run as a low integrity process with several additional restrictions that prohibit the runtime from accessing sensitive resources."
