I consistently get an "Error 500" message when trying to view some sites. Firefox will redraw the page if I refresh the screen, but I get the same error after a few seconds. The main (but not only) site I experience this problem is a local news station (KRNV). I'm running Firefox 115.7.0esr (64 bit) on OpenSuse Leap 15.5.

Also, why does the search function here seem not to work? I tried searching for "Error 500" messages, but most of them seemed to involve trying to sync with other devices. So I tried "Error 500 -sync", but still got the same messages with sync in them

I want to disable the Tab hover preview and I follow the instructions per Mozilla Support, which are:

Enter about:config in the address bar and set browser. tabs. hoverPreview. enabled = false.

When I enter about.config and search for "set browser. tabs. hoverPreview. enabled = false" it comes up as false. And there doesn't seem to be a need or way to save that setting, already set to false. But it still has the hover preview.

How do I get rid of the preview mode?

I recently added an ADDON that function to, OPEN A LINK IN A NEW TAB.

I saw something about that the Addon wasn't monitored for security.

This lead me to ask this question:

DO ADDONS SEND INFORMATION TO OTHER ENTITIES BESIDES FIREFOX, FOR EXAMPLE DO THEY SEND INFO TO THE DEVELOPERS OF ADDONS?

I had to reset windows 11, all my files were kept ,including the history in firefox but the bookmarks of 10 years of work were deleted. I tried to restore it but there is no old version in my computer after the reset. iI am vey sad. please contact me in [email address] for help thank you

This recently happened on Firefox for my laptop and the characters are broken. I've tried re-installing and removing the files Application Support/Firefox, but the issue still persists. The language is set to English CA. Can anyone help with this please?

I was playing a game on Facebook when the screen froze and then blanked out. Now when I try to access any games, I get the message that 'my browser does not support this feature'. Is this a Facebook problem and is there anything I can do to solve it - there is no point trying to contact Facebook. TIA

The interface for Multi-Account Containers has changed. How do I manage the containers. Specifically, how do I create new containers and delete old, unused ones? Put the Manage Containers button back with the old buttons.

I have a new desktop. I checked the box in Settings to "Always ask you where to save files." However, it's still dumping files in Downloads without asking.

Why, and how do we correct that?

I don't use severe settings, but X.com is most of the time blocked.

I can view X.com in Troubleshoot mode.

Winnowing all the apps would take a very long time as I use several dozen add-ons.

Normally I need to view X.com using Private window.

It looks like firefox recently updated with new privacy features (great!) What's not so great is that now it forces me to log into gmail each time I open a new browser window (not great). I have several different accounts that regularly use so this isn't ideal.

I've tried adding both gmail.com and google.com as exceptions under the cookie settings (didn't work). I even went and turned off the "enhanced tracking protection" on every step of the gmail login page and my inbox. Still kicks me out once I open a new browser. Any help to remedy this problem would be great.

I run the latest version of Firefox.

Lately it refuses to open on first attempt - be it from a start menu link or double-clicking the shortcut on my desktop or trying to open a html file directly.

It's annoying and i'd like to fix it.

I've done all the usual stuff like clearing the cache.

Please add features so that the recently visited page during the Firefox shortcut does not apply to the shortcut list. I only want to see a fixed shortcut on the shortcut page Even the pages I recently visited have been added to the shortcut, so I have to remove them daily. It's so inconvenient.
