Phone: Samsung Galaxy S5 Android OS: 6.0.1 Firefox version: 56

I have tried to install add-ons from the Firefox add-ons site several times. While the add-ons report as installed, they do not function. I cannot open their settings submenus by clicking on the add-on names in the Firefox pull-down menu. Clicking just closes the menu.

I need help with this. I asked several days ago and nobody has replied. I've checked to make sure that Firefox had permission to modify my storage, and it does. Help!

Hi

I am sorry we have not come back to you.

Which add-on are you trying?

more options

Ghostery and uBlock Origin.

Ghostery does not support Firefox for Android. The version information section of the desktop addons.mozilla.org site shows this. uBlock origin should work.

Hi kbrosnan,

Thank you for the information and I will be sure to check version information in the future.

As it stands, uBlock still won't run either. I know this may not be enough information for a solution, but if you can give me any advice for getting a diagnostic log or something similar I'd be happy to provide it.

Curioser amd curioser... uBlock successfully installed and I can open its menu by clicking the menu link. I'll update again if the issue recurs; in the meantime I also simply bookmarked the extension menu link.
