We have new computers at work. Co-worker has not used her work email in some time. We have downloaded Mozilla thunderbird email for her. She can not remember her old email. Is there a way to reset an email when she can not remember her old password? We tried putting a master password and it did not open with that. There is no stored passwords due to new computer.

The Thunderbird Master Password is only to protect any email passwords that you have told Thunderbird to remember and is optional. It has nothing to do with logging into your email account.

Email passwords are administered with your email provider. You need to work with them to reset a forgotten email password. Most providers have a link on their email help page to reset passwords.
