At some point in the last few weeks -- possibly after an upgrade -- I've noticed that some websites such as the Washington Post and Fidelity can take minutes rather than seconds to load. The problem doesn't seem to be with the sites themselves (because they load fine on Chrome) or with my hardware (because exactly the same thing happens on both of my computers). Has anyone else noticed this?

( I'm running Firefox 131.0.3 on Windows.)

Hi

Any help will be appreciated as I have this issue over a year. I thought with the updates it would be fixed but it seems like its only my firefox browser issue.

Every time I try to view a YouTube video it keeps crashing. I get this message - Gah. Your tab just crashed. We can help! Choose Restore This Tab to reload the page. YouTube works in other browsers though.

I've never had this issue before, but as of this evening I am no longer able to Print Emails in Firefox. I can't print them to a physical printer nor save them as PDF. Once I select to print an email the "Preparing Preview" page loads, but then get stuck.

This happens even in Firefox Safe Mode.

This happens with any email client - happens with Gmail and with AOL email accounts.

I have no problems printing these same emails in Google Chrome browser.

In addition, if I follow Firefox's steps to "Clear saved print settings" the problem is solved for only a single printing before reverting to getting stuck again.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I have no idea how to get around this issue. I need to save multiple emails as PDF files and physically print them every day. This issue makes Firefox unusable to me.

As of last week, FF works for a few minutes on startup, but then when you open a new tab and try to go to a site you just get the dancing period, nothing opens. Already open tabs with sites generally still work, but sometimes crash the tabs after a bit. We've tried starting without extensions, uninstalling and reinstalling FF, changing the profile, logging in the PC (Win 10, up to date) with a different login, running SFC and DISM on the PC, and just about everything else.

Opening the FF console shows this message when the tab just rocks the period:

WindowsJumpLists: Failed to fetch favicon for https://online.adp.com/signin/v1/?APPID=WFNPortal&productId=80e309c3-7085-bae1-e053-3505430b5495&returnURL=https://workforcenow.adp.com/&callingAppId=WFN&TARGET=-SM-https://workforcenow.adp.com/theme/admin.html NS_ERROR_FAILURE: WindowsJumpLists.sys.mjs:257:29

Edge works perfectly (and unfortunately, I'm having to use Edge to enter this ticket.). Other applications don't have any issues. I'm not having this issue on 2 other similar PCs I have that run FF, only this one.

Any ideas of what might be the issue with FF on this PC? Thanks, Alex

When I try to open FaceBook or games I use, I get a message that it is taking too long to load. This is a new problem since updating. I can't help but think there is a connection.

What's to be done, folks?

Hi Firefox Help Team…

When I want to access my Router individual IP addresses I need to input URL 192.168.1.xxxx via my Mac Firefox.

For some reason Firefox now insists on adding https in front and consequently it will NOT connect. Previously it was happy to leave it as http.

I have checked as much as I can and cannot find the reason that Firefox is adding https.

I also have a Windows version of Firefox and this still works correctly.

On my Mac, Safari also works correctly when input 192.168.1.xxxx.

I have tried many things, turning off extensions, etc. but nothing helps. Finally I have de-installed Firefox completely from my iMac Pro and re-installed a completely new version, but this does not help either.

When I enter URL 192.168.1.xxxx I receive the message:

Unable to connect An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.1.114.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.

Any ideas please?

Kind regards, Colin

Any ideas on what is causing the missing QUIT message? Note the 40s gap before the folder lock release - could that be related? At this point TBird usually has a spinning cursor and says Not Responding in the title bar.

cheers mark

Every once in a while a tab will not close when I click the X. I am able to switch between tabs and use everything else like normal when this issue is happening. The X will still highlight, I am able to close other tabs just not a specific one. Literally the only thing that will not work is actually clicking the X and having the tab actually close. To close it I will have to drag it to make it its own window and then it will allow me to click the X.

I have not noticed a pattern to what tabs randomly decide to do this or the frequency to how often it happens.

Hello!

A very important email folder in my Thunderbird just vanished. I didn't touch anything! My email was downloading very slowly and so I closed the entire Thunderbird application. When I re-opened it, the folder was gone. Everything else is there as before - all other folders, my inbox etc.

I have no idea what happened or where the folder went. I can't find anything online that addresses the problem or how to solve it. I'm very much a tech novice. I need a solution that a 5 year old could navigate lol

This is happening on my laptop, Windows operating system. I don't have any email managers on my phone.

Hello, this is regarding Firefox Desktop 131.0.3 x64.

Recently, my Right-Click menu for Save Image As... has stopped working. It shows that it's going to save the image (asks which directory you want to put it), but it never actually saves anything. I've tried numerous different sites, different file types, different download directories, without success.

It's not that the browser is suddenly incapable of handing image files. For instance, I can Copy Image, then paste it into my graphics program and it works as it should. I can directly download pictures; for instance, creating a Bing AI image then download it to my computer (rather than Save As), it it works correctly.

Microsoft Edge still functions correctly to save an image the way I'm trying to here, so I don't think that it's my computer. It's quite frustrating, as I love Firefox, but this really gets in the way.

You can see that it very interestingly doesn't save images without describing them as "canceled" in the Download (from Save Image As..) window.

My system stats:

-Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0xxx

- Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12450H 2.00 GHz - 32.0 GB RAM - 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

I've seen a couple of similar threads here on the Forum (such as https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1428087), but they are dated at this point, and don't explain how to implement the fixes at any rate.

Thank you very much for your assistance.
