When sound starts playing on a web page, Firefox lets you know which page the sound is coming from.

You can stop or resume audio without switching to the tab.

  1. Visit the tab tray by tapping the number next to the address bar. You'll see your open tabs.

  2. Look for the pause FenixTabPauseButton button over page thumbnails on the tab list to see which ones are playing audio.
  3. Tap a tab's pause button to stop its sound.
    It becomes a play FenixTabPlayButton button, allowing you to resume playing the sound later.
  4. You can tap the play button at any time to resume audio playback.
    It turns back to the pause button.
