Dear all,

I'm using with Thunderbird at work, I found it suitable for me and I use it for about six months. Recently, my company deploys domain so I only have drive C and drive Z (network drive). Drive Z is enabled the Offline File feature so I can access the files when I am at home.

I start to move the profile folder to Z and Thunderbird - portable app - to Z, run Thunderbird.exe in drive Z and after a few days, it becomes heavily, does not response for a long time... I know I need to change...

I install the software to drive C and point to email data in the Profile folder stored in drive Z. At first, it works well, but just a few days later, it make me crazy again, it becomes heavily, does not response for a long time... the Offline File log told me that there are many conflict in sync the data... all of them are the files from Profile folder.

So, in my case, How do I do next to make Thunderbird works well for me? As a temporary solution, I move Profile folder to drive C, install Thunderbird on the same drive (drive C) and it works like usual. Then I install SyncToy to sync the email data to the drive Z.

Thank you for consideration my issue. Have a nice day! Steve McDolly from Vietnam

I suggest you actually use the roaming profiles feature of windows, that syncs up your user account to the networked location sett in windows.

Thank you very much, Matt! I'll ask my system Administrator for this advice. Have a great day! :D
