I have the most recent version of Firefox set to custom URLs when I start the browser. The home button will also open the same set of custom URLs. I would like the home button to simply open another search page. How do I alter this behavior?

For pages you want to open at startup you can add them as parameters to the command (target) line in the Firefox desktop shortcut. That way got can set the home page to page(s) you want to open if you the home page in new tabs.
