Firefox 24 click to play flash plugin!!
Earlier the plugin blocked flash objects individually but now if we click on a flash content then a message asks us if we want to allow the flash content. HERES THE PROBLEM if i allow it all the flash content startr playing. is there any way to allow individual flash content like the earlier version

my point was that this feature is still in an experimental stage - so it is to be expected that it's subject to change until it becomes switched on in firefox by default. the extension referenced above works very painlessly and replicates the behaviour from firefox versions prior to 24.

hello, yes unfortunately the behaviour has changed - if you allow click-to-play content for a certain plugin to run, then all instances of the plugin on that page become enabled. there's no way around that in firefox, but you could use an addon like flashblock instead: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/flashblock/
Better than Flashblock is the addon Click To Play per-element. It restores the old behaviour exactly → https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/click-to-play-per-element/
I think it will be one of the most downloaded addons in the next weeks.

great, thanks for the tip!
Why break something that works? It doesn't work now. I don't want to resolve this problem with a plugin. Do I really need to switch browser?
click -to-play has so far always undergone changes and been under further development - that's why it still isn't enabled by default...
I do have it enabled. My issue is with the change they've made in version 24. I want click to play, but now it really, really annoys me.
