Cannot enter into search box when Firefox opens, I have to click on it first
More info: > So I open Firefox The cusor is flashing in the search box When I type nothing is shown in the search box I click on the search box Then I can type into the search box This does not seem right I would normally expect to be able to type directly into the search box when Firefox opens Errr...Any ideas please?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?
Thank you for your reply After trying several things............... What seems to be happening is that when I open FF the priority stays with peogram which is already open So....If I have - say - my CAD program open and want to download additional symbols, FF will open but not be in opertion until I click on it In other words it does not take up priority over the runniing program
