After searching for similar errors, I have deleted certificates, uninstalled and reinstalled Kaspersky but continue to get the error. Safari does not have a problem. When I check Certificates under Preferences, AO Kaspersky does not appear, even after uninstalling and reinstalling. This has never been a problem for me before now but, after searching, it seems to occur frequently. Is there a solution that allows me to continue with Firefox or do I need to move to Safari?

Hi, There is security software like Avast/AVG, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.

it is a kaspersky issue as per this forum thread :

But since it is after a update from them you may want to ask your question there. https://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?/forum/3-english-user-forum/

Thanks for this and the previous post. I will follow-up on that one. I had seen this post before but it is out of date - the Kaspersky configuration options are no longer valid.

As a further point, I can see that this could be a Kaspersky problem but FF does not show the AO Kaspersky Lab anti-virus certificate. I know how to install but haven't found out what the dear folks at Kaspersky elected to name it and/or to store it.

I still have not resolved the problem. I did locate the Kaspersky certificate in the Library folder and import them into FF but it did not resolve the issue. The only change that I know of that could have caused this is the upgrade to FF 61.0.1. In the mean time, I am using Safari which does not have an issue.

Hi, that fix may not be the one that is needed. You may have to turn off a function of Kaspersky for it to work in Firefox as that was needed for Mcafee and Avast. Each is different and the need to check the Kaspersky Community Forum for what others are doing for the issue is needed to figure out the issue which can change with a update.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
