Thunderbird selective send on some messages
Thunderbird sometimes does not send messages to a specific recipient. Some messages go through fine but ones that include internet https links sometimes remain in sent box. The recipient is expecting the mail and I have no other problems in mail to other persons. I suspect that there is something about the internet https links that is causing the problem as I have sent similar messages to this person that both include and do not include https links. However recently some messages with links remain in the sent box. I get no error messages that show a problem.
I copied Saturday's message with https links to my company's gmail account, and the message and links were sent and received successfully. I also have eliminated some links and tried to send and have had some success in doing so, but it's a trial and error procedure. The messages contain numerous https links but overall they are not lengthy. The links involve internet news stories on covid and not obscene or illegal material.
Any thoughts on what may be causing a problem?

TB doesn't scan outgoing messages for spam or junk, but you might have a security/antivirus app that scans outgoing mail. Confirm also whether you apply TB's junk controls or if all spam filtering on your received mail is done by the mail provider. Try to find out the same of your recipient: do they rely on filtering by their mail provider or by their mail client. Having both operating simultaneously is probably unnecessary and counterproductive.

Numerous links in a message often trigger spam filters with some providers. Try asking the recipient to access their account by webmail and whitelist or unblock your messages, possibly by adding you as a contact to their webmail contacts. This should ensure your messages aren't blocked at the mail server end, before they are downloaded to a mail client that may also apply spam or junk filters.
Thank you for the prompt reply. Thunderbird has been my email client for years and I've never had a problem until now.
Because I sometime send messages on a mobile device, I bcc to myself all messages sent. In the current situation messages successfully sent using Thunderbird show up in my Thunderbird inbox. That is not happening with some of these messages. Also other messages to this person are not blocked, including some messages with links. The fact that I was successfully able to copy and sent Saturdays message, links and all, through my office gmail account to the recipient show that blockage on the receiving end is not the problem.
But if the problem is Thunderbird thinking some messages are spam or otherwise having an issue with a message with https links such that it won't even send the message, is there away to troubleshoot that?

Thank you again for the response. I do have junk mail activated on Thunderbird but haven't seen any of the messages in that box. I will check on your other suggestions and report tomorrow.
I sent two more lengthy messages this evening with https links after checking that my virus filter allowed email messages to go through, it was set to "yes." Also temporarily turned off Thunderbird's Junk filter. Both messages were sent successfully so maybe it was the Junk filter that somehow affected outgoing messages or maybe there were no problems with the links. In any event if I have any more problems and can't solve them via the Junk filter, I'll copy and use our company gmail account like I did the other evening.
Thank you again for your assistance.
