I downloaded Thunderbird application to my Mac, but it said it would not work on my version of OS (10.11.6). Is there a version of Thunderbird that will work on my Mac? My computer is old enough that I cannot upgrade to a later OS.

Thunderbird 78.14.0 was the last to support macOS 10.11 (ten.eleven) as Thunderbird 91.0 requires macOS 10.12 (ten.twelve) at minimum.

As for Firefox the last version to run on macOS 10.11 (ten.eleven) was Fx 78.15.0esr as Fx 79.0 and later requires macOS 10.12 (ten.twelve) at minimum including Fx 91.0 ESR and Fx 96.0 Release.
