I just switched from Ubuntu 22.04 to Fedora 40 and copied my files over, including my Firefox profile and KDE settings. I have hit a few snags, such as that the language setting is totally ignored, but the most annoying is that the addess bar stopped autocompleting URLs I type and instead just flickers the suggestions popup away whenever I type. I tried troubleshooting mode and for every new tab the autocomplete works once but once I type the second letter it flickers the suggestions away again and doesn't work. To me it looks like the issue is that the suggestions popup maybe messes with the window focus as I noticed that menus and such seem to be implemented as borderless windows in Firefox. I also tested it in '''about:home''' using the search box there (which redirects your input to the address bar) and in there the first typed letter also autocompletes and after that each new typed letter just flickers the suggestions away for a split-second.
