Problem With Firefox Setup
I am currently using Microsoft Edge and am looking for a new browser to use. I went through the trouble twice now in setting up Firefox the way I want to work and for it to open certain bookmarks every time I open it. But 2 times now I have closed Firefox and reopened it and each time it not only fails to open the bookmarks I have setup, it also loses the other settings I setup and acts like I am setting it up for the first time. If I can't get this problem fixed I guess I will start looking at other browsers.

That sounds more like a corrupted Firefox install. Did you verify it was working before doing any custom changes? And what setup are you referring to? Steps you did with your setup.
When I wanted to switch back from Edge to Firefox, I updated it to the newest version. Now every time I turn off my computer and back on the next day Firefox is forgetting the changes I made in Settings. When I open it each morning, it pops up a splash screen like I had just downloaded it for the first time and wants me to answer questions such as would I like to import bookmarks and passwords from another browser. I have already imported my favorites from Microsoft Edge. None of the bookmarks I want it to open show up and everything in Settings is changed back to default.
So I decided to uninstall Firefox and download it and setup it up again. I went into Settings and made all my changes and sure enough, when I turned my computer on the next day and opened Firefox, it had lost all the settings I had changed and it went through the splash screen again like I had opened it for the first time. What is the problem? I am about at my wits end with this.
I have tried everything I have read and the suggestions I have received to be able to fix this problem and nothing seems to work. Sometimes it will work fine until I restart the computer and then sometimes it will happen when I close Firefox and then reopen it. It will open up as if it is the first time I have used it and ask me if I want to import my bookmarks, passwords and history from my other browser. What I can't figure out is, each time it resets itself, all my bookmark tabs are at the top like they should be. It is all the changes I make in settings that it forgets, such as the theme I setup, having it open certain web pages each time, and the extensions I had added. They all disappear when it happens. I though by uninstalling Firefox and then reinstalling it might fix the problem but it didn't. I had really wanted to start using this browser again for safety and privacy situations. I just don't know what to do. If anyone knows of something else I can try I would appreciate it. Is there anyway that maybe I can switch back to an older version to see if I still experience this problem. I am wondering if it could be the latest update causing the problem.
