I was once a big fan of Firefox but whatever was changed in the most recent iteration of Firefox Mobile for android but now it's almost unusable. I just had four crashes in four minutes but it has been crashing on a regular basis since the update.

How can I revert ?

If you click through to the crash report it is clear to see that the crash happened because of Adobe Flash. Firefox can not do anything to prevent crashes due to Flash on Android.

this is an Acer Iconia tablet, not a phone. a few weeks ago I was able to enjoy web content that included flash (those 'catch-up sites for TV channels) I updated Firefox and now it's crashing. Since the Flash plug-in wasn't changed and I doubt that the sites have changed then it seems that the most recent version of Firefox has changed. So if I want to consume media on my media consumption device then it is a choice of going back to a version that worked for me ( the original question I asked) or saying goodbye to Firefox
