I have set up both of my IMAP accounts to direct incoming emails to their own INBOXes. From there, I move them to one of the many folders in the STORAGE folder under Local Folders. That all works fine, except that Local Folders also has subfolders such as Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Archives, Junk, Trash and Output that I don't use. I can collapse Local Folders, but then Storage disappears until I expand Local Folder again. That is inconvenient. So, I would like to separate the Storage folder from Local Folders, but I cannot see a way to do that. Any suggestions?

You cannot. "Storage" can only exist as a subfolder under Local Folders, and you cannot remove the other special subfolders.

Good day, sir and/or madam, You haven't completely fixed your Mozilla Thunderbird software yet. I thought it was terrible, that the Thunderbird had gone wrong. If I installed a new version of Thunderbird every now and then, very expensive storage ( locale mappen) in the local folders disappeared. That's despicable! That content in the local folders should never just disappear if I have installed a new version every time. Would you like to further improve your software?
