Recently I was having problems in installing add-ons to firefox. So I uninstalled firefox and have reinstalled it. However now when I click on firefox I get a message saying 'close firefox. A copy of firefox is already open. Only one copy of firefox can be open at a time'. Any suggestions on how to fix this please. Thanks

Hi, This problem happens when firefox has not completely shut down and remains in memory. Either restart the computer or stop the firefox processes running.

If you are still having some trouble with your add-ons, perhaps this section could be of use: Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems As detailed in the write up, you can try firefox safe mode and see if the problem still occurs.
