Hello, I have been using Thunderbird on my computer and mobile for a long time. Suddenly, my mobile app stopped sending e-mails. I can receive emails but can't send them. All settings are same as usual, all ports seems correct. Below I am pasting the message I get after trying to send email. Just so you know, from my hosting provider (hostinger) it all works well. It works with any other app than Thunderbird. What could be the solution? I really need it ASAP. :C

I am using a Hammerspoon on MacOs to do my window management. This allows me to move windows around to different areas and monitors using my own hotkeys. For all other applications, this works perfectly. Windows move to the target area/screen instantly when I press a hotkey. However, Firefox always needs some "encouragement". On every key-press, it moves towards the desired location & size, but never gets there in one go.

After some googling, I recently found another question on this forum that seemed to fix the problem. It is this question: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1438695

By setting `ui.prefersReducedMotion` to 1, Firefox stops its animation-stuff and does exactly what is expected when the windowmanager gives the window a series of `(x, y, w, h)` instructions. So, that seemed like the fix I needed.

But... I typically don't reboot my mac for weeks on end and I noticed that after "some time", Firefox reverts back to its old behaviour. I have not yet figured out if there is a minimum amount of time before this happens, or if it has something to do with locking/unlocking my mac. At the moment the only way to fix it again is to restart Firefox.

I know reducing animations in MacOS' accessibility-settings probably fixes it for good, but that is not what I want. That would remove _all_ animations from all of the apps and the OS. How can I help investigate this?

I have a contact email list in my address book. It is a sublist of the entire address book, but I cannot seem to edit it. I can't delete or add contacts to this list. I have tried to edit the list using the "Edit list" option from the three dot drop down menu associated with this particular list, but after making changes and clicking "OK" my changes are not saved. Hello. I often use a frame interpolation application called Lossless scaling (LS) for watching YouTube videos. LS captures frames from a window using APIs like DXGI or WGC and generates interpolated frames between them. When running LS with YouTube videos played in full-screen on other browsers, it correctly detects and operates at the video's native framerate. However, when using Firefox, the application detects a framerate 2 to 3 fps higher than the actual video fps. For instance, a 60 FPS video is detected as 62 FPS, resulting in poor frame pacing and a noticeably choppy playback. It works fine in Chrome or Edge, but I would really like to resolve this issue.

Hi everybody, I've previously added my Nextcloud calendars to Thunderbird using the CalDAV source. They are working quite fine, but now i've added a new calendar within Nextcloud. I am struggling to tell Thunderbird that it should query for new calendars from an existing calendar source. So basically I want to re-use the same configuration (username, password, urls) to add a new calendar that is hosted on the same server.

The only workaround that I was able to use, is to unsubscribe from all calendars that were already synchronized and afterwards adding them all again including the newly created calendar (as shown in the screenshot). Without removing the old ones I would be using two credentials to access the CalDAV server within the same client, which is something that I wanted to avoid.

Is this a known limitation or am I missing something? Best wishes

Firefox suddenly will not take me to my organization's (academic) Microsoft sign in page that connects me to DUO and then to the institution Sharepoint. When I use the same steps I've always used, Firefox just sits with the dots going across the screen. I've been using Firefox to connect exactly the same way for several years. Now it does not work. Safari will do it, but I don't like Safari as well.

I cleared cookies and cache in Firefox--did not fix it. I closed the browser and restarted the computer--did not fix it. I tried my other desktop--did not fix it. I downloaded Firefox again--did not fix it. I downloaded and reinstalled DUO with help from my institution's IT department--did not fix it.

Incidentally, I can log in to my personal Microsoft account using Firefox. I just cannot log into my institutional Microsoft account. My institution's IT could not see any reason why this would be the case on their end, so I'm wondering if there is something I've done to block Firefox from connecting with my organization's Microsoft.

I don't like Safari as well but I may have to stop using Firefox because I need to be connected to my institution's email, calendar, library, course platform, etc. etc. almost continuously all day.

Even started in safe-mode Thunderbird 128.6.0esr (64-bit) Linux Quick-Filter doesn't filter newsgroup NNTP messages when the searches is performed on the "Body" of the messages. Works for searches in the "Subject" field, but not whether also "Body" is selected. The search in the "Body" works for regular Emails, the issue seems related only for newsgroup NNTP account messages. Please could you help me? Should I submit a bug report?

I am getting the following message in settings of Firefox: "Your browser is being managed by your organisation."

I have followed the below steps and thus removed the add-on but yet I am not able to get message "Your browser is being managed by your organisation."

Is there a fix to the issue?

Uninstall manually

If you can't remove an extension from Firefox using the other methods described above, you can manually remove it. First navigate to the folder where extensions are installed:

   Open your profile folder:
       From the Help menu, select More Troubleshooting Information. The Troubleshooting Information tab will open.
       Under the Application Basics section next to Profile Folder, click Show in Finder. A window will open that contains your profile folder. 
   Note: If you are unable to open or use Firefox, follow the instructions in Finding your profile without opening Firefox.
   Open the extensions folder inside your profile folder. Inside the extensions folder there are folders or XPI files for each extension and theme that you have installed.
   To determine which folder or XPI file corresponds to the extension you want to uninstall, return to Firefox and the Troubleshooting Information tab.
   In the Extensions section, find the extension you want to remove and note the string in the ID column.
   Click the Firefox menu at the top of the screen and select Quit Firefox.
   Delete the folder or XPI file that corresponds to the extension ID you noted above.

Several websites show nothing but a white screen. I have tried everything suggested in other posts about this issue (Clearing history & cookies. Starting in safe mode. Disabling addons, themes, and extentions. Disabling hardware acceleration. Updating video card drivers. Checking the url bars "tracker" icon. Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox.) and still I get a white screen when visiting certain sites. I really don't want to switch to another browser but I'm at a complete loss and have no idea why I have this issue.
