Where does Thunderbird send the saved Address Book contacts? What folder in my computer are they in?

My HP computer died. I got a new Dell and had someone transfer all of my hard drive info from the old to the new one. I need to find my Address Book contacts to use them in Thunderbird's new Address Book. I can't find them in any of the folders. What is the default directory on my computer? I know it isn't in the Thunderbird folder, but where is it? Thanks. Rev. Bruce Leiter.

It depends on you operating system, but for Windows Thunderbird stores its profile in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\[random].default. Address books are stored in .mab-files.

Both of my computers (the dead HP and the alive Dell) have different builds of Windows 10. I'll check out the mab-files because I need the Address Book contacts. Thanks.

I've searched all of the old and new folders and came up empty on both of your suggestions. Could it be that my Address Book contacts are lost? What other suggestions do you have? Thanks.
