A 'noisy' tab is preventing auto-sleep ('powercfg /requests' shows audio activity), Firefox doesn't ID which tabs have active audio. Searching for help only provides useless information, instructing me to click a non-existent button: "Visit the tab tray by tapping the number next to the address bar". I have no such button, only a 'taggle reader view' button.

Cordialement Dominique

I guess there was an update to Firefox today because everything about my browser was a mess! >:( I have always had the Honey and Pinterest pin it buttons on my toolbar, and they have worked just fine. Now that this nightmare "update" happened, they don't show anymore, even though they are enabled in my settings and all permissions are checked. I am NOT very techy, so please don't reply with a long technical response that requires me to spend an hour trying to fix it. The buttons showed before, so why not now?! Please help! I've cleared cache and cookies, cleared history, everything I can think of and nothing is working. :'( TIA

I'm not exactly sure how to describe this, but I will do my best. I've noticed that since updating to version 132.0.1 of Firefox that something seems to be odd with the way the browser is behaving with Youtube. Specifically, the back button isn't behaving as it should. Instead of taking me back to a previous page/video, the back button fades out as if it had indeed gone back to a previous page on the site, but doesn't actively take me to that page. I have to reload the page to get back to that previous page. This, so far, has not occurred on any other website I visit. I'm not sure if this is a glitch in Youtube or in Firefox, however given that this seems to be localized to Youtube, I'm wondering if it's an issue in Youtube that is somehow specific to Firefox itself. I tried this on my phone, and the issue isn't happening there, just on my laptop's version of the browser. This issue was not present in the previous version of Firefox, so I'm not sure what's going on. I am on an older build of Windows 10 as my machine seems incapable of updating to a later build of the OS, but I don't believe this is the cause either since other websites I've visited do not have this issue, so far as I can tell.

Can anyone help in regards to this issue? I'm honestly stumped as to why this is happening and why it seems to be specific to Youtube only.

Reduce tabs

Just looking for a chrome style tab listing so it's not an endless scroll to find a tab, effectively making the browser useless.

Hi,

I started having a strange issue which never happen before and it is a regular occurance. When I close the brower, turn off the computer or reset it because it freezes firefox doesn't remeber the open tabs.

I'm signed in, I have the setting for it to open all tabs, but it doesn't do it, doesn't remember which tabs were 'pinned' and recen close tabs and widnows menu are blank.

It happened now 3 times since Monday, before it happened maybe once a year.

Do you have any suggestions?

This evening I tried to watch my NFL Thursday night football game on my DAZN account. I got a message above the screen that said that FireFox needs to install something for me to watch this program. Two hours later it is still saying the same thing. This has never happened before as I watch NFL football throughout the season. Never have had a problem with Firefox until now. What to do??

During what I assume are high bitrate sections of YouTube videos (e.g. lots of movement, high resolution) YouTube will constantly drop frames.

Video for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLuTLF3x9sA

I have tried: • Safe Mode • Installing the Flatpak and testing in that, which also has a fresh profile as I don't use the Flatpak version • Testing different related about:config settings – I can't remember them all now, but I tested every one I found googling that is related to the issue or hardware acceleration.

Hardware acceleration is for sure working. Turning it off makes the video drop to one or two FPS.

Chromium has no problem with the same video. However, you can see from the screenshots that both read the resolution/scaling of my screen differently, and it implies that Firefox is rendering something like 6314 x 3552 while Chromium is rendering at UHD, the resolution of the screen and my video. If I turn off all my Global Scaling, Firefox stops dropping frames (the same info box on YouTube states resolution is UHD), reinforcing my theory about scaling being the issue. Both are confirmed to be using native Wayland.
