An e-mail body displayed does not match subject header. This is rare, 1-2x per month and for a single e-mail. The subject line above and below (even though rest of header matches body) is for a deleted e-mail. I've seen this most often with e-mails left in Inbox for several days. Windows 11 & TB 115.4.2 (but has existed in earlier versions as well) Update: This may have to do with TB crashing in Calendar and the only way to terminate it was to use the task manager to terminate the process. These crashes are cause by changing a calendar entry in Google on phone and on TB before TB syncs w/google (which seems to only happen when TB starts).

A few weeks ago after an automatic update I ended up having Thunderbird version 131.0.1 installed, I have no idea how this happened. On opening I get a message telling me I shouldn't be using a beta version and that I should revert to the latest general release version (128.4)

Today when I had some free time I downloaded 128.4 and installed it. On opening it it says that I can't use a profile file from a later version with the earlier version. Is there a way to recover from this WITHOUT having to set up the whole profile again from scratch.

Meanwhile I have done a system restore so I am back with 131.0.1 It has not given me any problems so far. Is there a new general release version imminent that will get me back on track?

I would appreciate any help I am not a computer expert, just a user, and find Thunderbird a very good email client.

Suddenly I do not get any result when seaching allthough I know there are a person with thw name or a topic. I have used Thunderbird for a long time and very often used the search facility. But not now :-(

When I look at any email it is blank. Furthermore, when I moved three emails I lost them completely. This has only just happened. Is it because of an update? what do I do?

It is annoying that the message Delete button in the Inbox is not in a fixed position. It moves when one selects a set of emails to delete and fewer selection buttons appear. When in a hurry, I have hit Archive instead of Delete because the location moves, wasting my time to redo what I wanted.

Please FIX the location of the Delete button so it stays in one place across functionality in the Inbox--a UX improvement!

The global search in TB is completely defective. I am now running 128.2.0esr and hoped that update might fix it. It hasn't. I just wonder, are there any older or non ESR versions I can downgrade/move to, where the search is fully functional?

I have Thunderbird connected to a number of providers including hotmail and OVH, all configured for IMAP. OS = Linux Mint

Everything was working fine until I installed the upgrade to 128.4 offered by the Linux Mint update manager.

Since then it takes a very long time to even send a simple email with CPU usage going up to or even over 100% (multi-cores). Even in normal usage with nothing happening Thunderbird is using 25% of the CPU.

The sending process often times out giving a message that says the connection was lost to the SMTP server.

Up to version 132b1, account retrieval worked. Since Version 132b2 (b3, b4, b5, b6, 133b1) following fault:

The setting is ‘Only download header data when starting TB’

Since 132b2 the following message and click link is missing: "Download the rest of the message"

I send messages over php with a link, for example:

When I copy the source code the link is correct. When I copy the whole html mail source code in a blank page and save it as .html, the link is correct, too. It works and the code generator (notepad++) shows no error.

But:

In the Mail Preview an -view the link is shorten to: ttps://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=49.7997283719618&mlon=7.796087265014649&zoom=15&layers=M The first h is gone. Any idea, how this could happen?!

I used to be able to copy a Table from a Word document and past it into a Thunderbird email and maintain the formatting. Between 1 Nov and 2 Nov I can no longer do this. When I copy and paste the formatting is lost. Can you help please? Thank you.

I am unable to send emails. My internet provider tells me that it is Thunderbird. I receive a send message error when trying to send and something about the outgoing server.

I have contacted my Internet provider and they are unable to get my thunderbird to work can you help me get it working I have it installed on an old computer and it works fine this is a new computer I have AVG and a AVG VPN if this helps we went through all the POP and smtp setting but it still wont work, and I get an error message attachment of Screen shot thank Jenny

I am trying to create a Primary Password but getting message: "Unable to change Primary Password" Using Thunderbird Version 128.4.1esr | Released November 4, 2024 under Windows 11.

After scanning documents from Epson printer and using the send-to email function I am not receiving the email with attachment. I have also tried switching from Epson WiFi back to home WIFI and I still don't receive them

Hi,

 My Tbird email has been hacked.  Not suspected but proven.  I have changed the root

email account password - logged in to Tbird and did an attempt to Get Email and it asked me for the password. I provided it and it seemed to work and the password -seemed- to get saved.

 But when I went back in a little later - Tbird asked for the password again.  I did NOT

provide it this time but used a direct browser based email process - that works with the new password. So password confirmed.

 Very concerned about Tbird not saving the new password and re-using it.  Is it  

possible that Tbird itself has been hacked? A virus scan of the entire computer did not show any problems (Norton).

On installing Thunderbird on my new Windows 11 computer, restore of backed up Profile did NOT restore my calendar. The calendar file is definitely in my Profile backup and it is over 1000 kb but nothing I have tried will import this local.sqlite file. I cannot find any other software that will import this file. Help. Thank you.
