How do I disable EME extension?

I'm very dismayed at the HTML5/EME DRM issue.

All the recent articles I can find on this issue suggest that the user is empowered to disable the EME capabilities, but I cannot find a mechanism to do so.

It's constantly referred to as an "extension" in the articles, but when I look at my extensions/add-ons, I don't see it anywhere. It's also not present under Tools-Options anywhere.

How do I disable this?

Otherwise I'm going back to 28.x.

This hasn't been implemented yet. It will be in a future version of Firefox. I'm not sure what the interface will be like (not sure if it will show up in extensions) but you will be able to disable it.

hello, this isn't implemented in the browser yet - in addition according to mozilla's published plans you'd have to opt in to get the possibility to playback DRM-crippled videos once that makes its way into firefox: https://hacks.mozilla.org/2014/05/reconciling-mozillas-mission-and-w3c-eme/
