What do you want to copy to the clipboard? You can copy text by highlighting in the page and pressing Ctrl-c. You can save images by dragging and dropping onto the desktop.

I tried to find a bookmarklet that could copy a page or part of a page to the clipboard, but was not successful.

You can't run a .bat or .cmd from within Firefox or create a bookmark.

What kind of command are you trying to run in the bat file?

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and look around. It should only take you about 20 years or so ;->
