I constantly get a small "Download" pop-up that I need to get rid of. How?

A small pop-up comes up at random times, even when I am composing an email in Google. The pop-up has the word "Download" and an arrow on one side and an "X" on the other. It is annoying and covers things I am looking for. I don't want this option. Please help me remove it. Thanks.

Hi ljwayne, Please make sure that it is not an add on by restarting in Safe Mode: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode

If this continues you can right click on the window and click on "Page Info". From there you can manage the permissions of pop ups from that site.

If it is already blocked please do a virus scan to make sure there is not a virus or adware. For mac I used to use bitdefender.

Last troubleshooting I can think of: try a new profile. Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles
