Why doesn't Firefox for Android have folders to organize synced bookmarks like Chrome?

This should be a basic feature of any internet browser. I love Firefox, but without this basic feature I can't use it as my primary browser.

Hi sweitzel,

While you can't create bookmarks directly in Firefox for Android (at least not yet), it will sync your bookmark folders if used with Firefox Sync.

You can find these synced folders in the Bookmarks panel on your Firefox for Android home screen. Your desktop bookmark folders, for example, will be organized in the "Desktop Bookmarks" folder. I usually organize my mobile bookmarks on my desktop and have the folders sync back to my Android device.

To learn more about the home screen or "Awesome Screen", see Customize the Firefox home screen. To sign up for Firefox Sync, see How do I set up Sync on my computer?

The Mozilla community is continually gathering feedback so we can improve Firefox for Android. Thank you for your support and patience in the meantime.

Please let us know if this helps.
