Everytime I start up firefox that annoying update page always pops up along with another tab that has my regular home page. It's not that is bothers me particularly, but it's annoying that it's still there and my mom is going crazy about it ruining the internet for her. How do I remove this?

Please try to reset the update settings by changing them and changing them back: Configuration Options for Updates

Does this happen in Safe Mode? Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode if so, this will also tell you if it is an add on that may be on an infinite loop.
