In case it's a problem with the zoom level, you could try holding down the Ctrl key and tapping - a few times. Does that bring everything into view?

But of course, a legit ecommerce site should NEVER give you that kind of error. Are you sure it's the real thing? Would you mind doing a little investigation?

If you have added an exception for that site, or another site recently, check the issuer information on its certificate. Here's how.

While viewing a page on the site, click the padlock icon in the address bar (or gray ! triangle, if there's a mixed content warning), then More Information, then View Certificate. On the first tab, there is a section marked "Issued by". What information do you find there? I've attached what I get for llbean.com for comparison.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
