I am working with a customer that has Windows 7 Premium with Flash 16 installed in Firefox 34. However she is having trouble with sites not playing Flash material. I have found that under the Application Tab in Firefox options no .SWF is showing. I have the same setup on my Windows 7 computer and the swf does show.

Any Idea why the application is not recognized?

Does your customer have the Plugin version of Flash installed? IE uses the ActiveX version of Flash, where Firefox needs the Plugin version. Plus Chrome has its' own version, so there are three distinct versions of Flash for Windows operating systems.
