Firefox 34.0 (Waterfox actually) after the new update doesn't let me save Connection Settings. The proxy radio used to be on No proxy; I deleted prefs.js and now it's stuck on Use system proxy settings. Now the No proxy for field is filled for localhost and 127.0.0.1 and I can't click OK if I enter those under Manual proxy configuration. Safe Mode did not work.

Actually the OK button doesn't work if I enter anything under Manual.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
