hello rick, java 1.6.0_31 should already be blocked because it's vulnerable. this doesn't mean that it's totally disabled but java content will only be executed once manually disabled on a page: Why do I have to click to activate plugins?

It makes sense to use the most up to date version of Java possible.

Java 1.6.0_31 has been blocked by Firefox since 2012

You may still choose to use it at your own risk.

You are on Firefox 31.0 that is outdated, not secure and not supported.

Thank you for the responses, we are working on upgrading but the current software version we are using does not support the latest versions of Java.

Let me guess - you're using an Oracle application that needs that old version of Oracle Java - correct?
