Recently lost SD card where I had some things saved under mozilla/Firefox folder in phone; is there anyway I can retrieve these "things" in file?

You might need a third party app in order to look for the folder on the device memory.

The folder that Firefox for Android uses by default isl locally in the data/data/org.mozilla.firefox/

However some of it may be encrypted.

You mean the files were downloaded to the SD card and the SD card is missing or unreadable? I don't think Firefox normally makes backup copies of downloads in other locations.
