The 4/10/2015 update ended my ability to access D2L at college. What can I do?

Before the update I was using Desire2Learn at the University of Oklahoma website. I updated the browser, and the images on ozone.ou.edu no longer loaded and Desire2Learn timed out in two seconds, never loading. I am able to access via safari or chrome. I uninstalled Firefox and could access the site, but when Firefox updated again, I was blocked again. I have uninstalled the update so I can finish my homework, but would like a better work around. I appreciate the security the update offers, but I have to be able to get to my school work and would rather not change browsers. I prefer Firefox in all other ways. Please help?
