Set default bookmark folder for when using Ctrl+D?

I noticed that while when you click on the bookmarking star, it automatically puts the bookmark in the Unsorted Bookmarks folder, but that it doesn't do this when you bookmark the page using Ctrl+D.

Is there a way to set the default folder so that it goes straight into the Unsorted Bookmarks folder regardless of the method by which I bookmark a page?

Another option would be for FF devs to make the default Ctrl+D folder be whatever the last folder one bookmarked a page into, like Chrome does.

Clicking the star bookmarks the page in the unsorted folder. Using Bookmarks This Page (Ctrl+D) bookmarks the page in the Bookmarks Menu folder. That is how it works.

You can look at this extension:

Yes, I am aware "that is how it works"; I just said that above in my description. The fact is it doesn't seem a very logical (or at least consistent) way to do it. And I already have enough extensions, thank you; I don't need yet another one to bog down my computer.
