Firefox 29.0 blocks downloads partway through. I have d/c'd my antivirus and firewall. No help.

I took the advice shown in a post (open about:config in a tab> search for browser.scanWhenDone and toggle to false. There is NO such setting in about:config.

The new setting is listed as browser.malwareEnabled -->search for malware and toggle this setting to false.

Even so, I have trouble with some downloads. Please help.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac Then reinstall the latest version.

Flash Player Version 17.0.0.169

Check the settings in your virus protection also.

What you could do is get a Download Manager. Some use Firefox to do the downloads, and some run separate from FF.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.
