How do I disable "closed|undo" notice when I close a tab

After I close a tab in Firefox, an overlay shows up that reports "Closed [page title] | UNDO". The bubble appears over every tab and will not go away. Tapping it does not close it. Nothing under 'Settings' explains it, nor within 'Help'. I don't even know what this useless thing is officially called. How do I prevent it from appearing each time I close a tab?
